1. Booking and Confirmation
- Quotes and Estimates: All quotes are approximate until confirmed by a written agreement. Prices may vary depending on actual inventory, access, and scope of services.
- Reservation: Your booking is confirmed only after a signed agreement and a deposit (if applicable) are received.
- Rescheduling: You may reschedule your move up to 72 hours in advance without penalty, subject to availability.
- Cancellations: Cancellations within 72 hours of the scheduled move may result in a cancellation fee of up to 30% of the estimate.
2. Scope of Services
- Included Services: Based on the selected package (Basic, Standard, Premium, VIP), Moving GPT provides services such as labor, truck, packing, unpacking, furniture setup, and more. Please review package details for specifics.
- Excluded Items: We do not move hazardous materials, live animals, illegal goods, perishable food, or flammable substances.
- Specialty Items: Pianos, safes, gym equipment, artwork, and oversized items must be disclosed in advance for proper handling. Additional charges may apply.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Packing: Clients using the Basic or Standard package must ensure all items are securely packed. For Premium and VIP clients, Moving GPT will handle full packing and unpacking.
- Elevator and Parking: Clients are responsible for reserving elevators, loading docks, and arranging parking where necessary.
- Presence: Someone 18+ must be present during the move for inventory checks, directions, and final sign-off.
4. Insurance and Damage Liability
- Basic Coverage: Every move includes limited liability insurance of $0.60/lb per item as mandated by provincial law.
- Optional Coverage: Additional full-value protection is available at an extra cost and must be arranged before moving day.
- Claims Process: All claims for damage or loss must be reported in writing within 7 business days of your move. Claims after this period will not be accepted.
5. Payment Policy
- Accepted Payments: We accept credit cards, debit, e-transfers, and cash.
- Payment Timing: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the move unless otherwise arranged in writing.
- Late Payments: Unpaid balances after 7 days may incur late fees and collection charges.
6. Delays and Force Majeure
- Unforeseen Delays: We strive for punctuality but are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or third-party access problems.
- Force Majeure: Moving GPT is not liable for disruptions due to natural disasters, strikes, government action, or any event outside our control.
7. Storage Terms (if applicable)
- Storage Access: Access to stored items is available with prior notice during business hours.
- Storage Liability: Items in storage are insured only under the level selected by the client (basic or extended).
- Force Majeure: Moving GPT is not liable for disruptions due to natural disasters, strikes, government action, or any event outside our control.
8. VIP Services and Custom Requests
- Luxury Moves: VIP clients receive comprehensive white-glove service including furniture setup, junk removal, full home cleaning, and coordination with property managers.
- Custom Requests: Any additional services not listed in the standard packages must be discussed and agreed upon in writing before the move.

9. Disputes and Legal
- Jurisdiction: All agreements are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
- Dispute Resolution: Disputes shall first be addressed through mediation. If unresolved, parties agree to binding arbitration in Ontario.
10. Changes to Terms
- Updates: Moving GPT reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes prior to service execution.
